We all try to quickly comprehend the “basics” of the language and, learn to speak and translate spanish to english faster, move to a new level faster. In order for the learning process to go smoothly, you need to take into account some points that impede further progress.
Mistake 1. You are learning words.
You don’t have to learn the words. It is necessary to learn READY PHRASES.
When you were a child, did you learn something like “go-went-gone”? No, you learned “words” like “mamahachuvotatushakalaaaaatku!” Therefore, if you have heard or read a phrase where there is an unfamiliar word and want to learn a new word, never make a vocabulary card like “decide – decide”. Instead, write out the entire sentence and underline the new word. If you learn only the word and translation, then you will not be able to use this word in the correct context (for example, you can easily say “I’ll decide this problem” – and this is a gross mistake). And, besides, any new word will be remembered much brighter in a natural context, and not in a “word-translation” combination.
Therefore, do not learn words, but bright, emotionally colored phrases with new words.
Error 2.
You think that if you know grammar and how translate english to hindi, you will speak well.
Having learned all the grammatical rules, you will protect yourself from only a small part of the errors.
Imagine: I come to you and say: “Now I will inform you about a single adventure that took place on the territory of my personal full-size dwelling before sunset. A domestic cat that I own stole a sausage product from my Belarusian refrigerator by making a conscious effort to open its door.”
Liked? So at least one person will speak Russian? Now try to find at least one grammatical error in my story!
In the same way, when we focus our efforts on learning grammar, we seem to speak without errors, but unnaturally!
Therefore – focus your attention not on grammatical rules, but on natural phrases in a bright context! Yes, if you want to speak clearly, you need to learn grammar rules, especially complex constructions or such cases when you know what they say, and when it is not clear. But grammar is dessert! And for a snack, first and second, please order listening, speaking and learning phrases.
Mistake 3.
You think that a language can be learned by reading.
Learn English not by reading, but by LISTENING AND TALKING. Reading texts in English, you will not do anything to improve your speech. The key to speaking is elsewhere – listening, repeating and learning vocabulary in context.
In colloquial speech, we use 5-8 percent of the dictionary of the literary language. The rest is in books. Therefore, it is a must to read. But please be very clear that you will not advance in spoken language by reading.
Mistake 4.
You don’t repeat what you’ve learned enough.
Better less, but better – in the language this rule works 100%. You don’t need to learn a lot of new material. You need to repeat the material covered much more times than you are used to. And not in one sitting.
Mistake 5.
You listen and repeat after the speaker instead of expressing your thoughts in language.
Repeating a phrase after the speaker is one thing, but expressing your thought is another. Have you ever experienced something like this: everything seems to be going well in the classroom, but when you need to talk to someone, suddenly there is some kind of stupor? If yes, then this means that in the lessons you express your own thoughts a little. The conclusion is simple – you need to speak the language! But, unfortunately, it is almost impossible to do it alone.
Therefore, find yourself an environment for communicating in English. It is always possible, if there is a will.

Mistake 6. You are afraid to make mistakes.
This is one of the most enduring misconceptions – the language can be learned by diligently and slowly building “error-free” phrases. Unfortunately, this strategy fails. First, just because you speak with pure grammar does not mean that it is correct English (see point 2). Secondly, learning to speak well can only be done with a lot of practice. And by trying to protect yourself from mistakes, you deprive yourself of practice. Look at young children as they learn to speak. Don’t they make mistakes? They do, and a lot. But they are not afraid to speak up, and in the end quantity turns into quality.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes! Mistakes can only be overcome with practice.
